KS1 Show

Dear Parents,

We are glad to hear that so many parents enjoyed our KS1 show 'Children of the world'. The children and staff have worked very hard to put on an exciting and memorable show for everyone to enjoy.

Please could we ask any parents to kindly forward any copies of photos or videos from the performance, so we may update our blogs and and share them with all the KS1 parents. We would greatly appreciate your contributions and so would the rest of the KS1 community.

Please e mail them to ks1@ascot.ac.th

Many thanks and Merry Christmas

Bake Sale 19th October

Next Friday, we will be having a bake sale to raise money which will help a charity that supports soi dogs. More details will come next week but the children in KS1 are likely to try to do some of their own baking.

Big Write

This Friday, we did our very first 'Big write'. This is a new scheme to encourage children to write independently about a topic they have been learning. Year 1 have been writing about their Teddy bears, as they have featured in our week this week.

Numeracy

One of the things we have been learning about in Numeracy this week is 'estimation'. We would look at a group of objects or a photo of animals and estimate how many. When everyone has had a turn we would count and find out who had the closest estimate.
