Dear Parents,

Please remember our performance of our KS1 production this Thursday 12th at 2.00 in the Secondary gym. We know how excited everybody is for this event and we are all excited about it too.

Also this Friday, we will have our Christmas parties after lunch until home time. Please could all children bring a party snack (no nuts & seafood please) in the morning and all party clothes should come to school in school bags for the children to change into after lunch.

Assessment Week

Class of the week!

Class of the Week was presented to Y2K today at assembly.


Well done Y2K!

It has been a fantastic week and everyone has been trying really hard with their work to get ready for exam week.

Y2K have also been showing that they can be kind to their friends and keep all of their Golden Time.

PSHE

Here we are learning about friendship. We watched a song with a video and discussed what attributes a good friend should have.


Loy kratong

 What a fantastic celebration of Thai culture at our Loy Kratong Day. Everyone looked amazing in their Thai traditional dress and they enjoyed learning how to play traditional games and sing traditional children's songs. We made our own kratongs and enjoyed Thai snacks from the OCOP (one class one product) Fair.

Loy Kratong

Dear Parents,

Please be reminded that this Friday 15th November, we will be celebrating Loy Krathong. We are looking forward to seeing all the children dressed smartly in their Traditional Thai outfits and performing during the opening ceremony in the Basketball courts.

Book Week Activities

Grace with her book review for the book 'You can't eat a Princess!'

 During Book Week there was lots of fun and games! It was great to see everyone getting involved.

Well done Taipei who was the winner of the Extreme Reading competition for Key Stage 1.

Also well done to Grace who read the most pages in the Key Stage 1 Read-a-thon helping to raise funds for charity.

Art: Still Life Painting

 The children really had to concentrate on their still life painting. They used a small brush and mixed colours to show light and dark shadow effects.





Loy Kratong Art


We have started our Loy Kratong Art and have been learning our traditional Thai dance for this Friday's Loy Kratong Day!

KS1 Production



At the end of this term we will have our KS1 production ‘The Goblin next door’ on the 12th December. This is a story about friendship and living in harmony with others.

We hope your child has lots of fun learning their lines for 11th November when we shall begin rehearsals.

 Everyone joined the Halloween fun with amazing costumes, strange and spooky games and party fun!

It was a great day!

Dear Parents,

Please be reminded that this Thursday 31st is Halloween at Ascot. The children may wear a costume to school and will enjoy some Halloween activities in the afternoon.

Also, with the hot weather, we will be enforcing a no hat, no play policy. So please ensure that your child has a hat at school everyday.

 Children worked with a partner to estimate the length of an object and then measure the actual length.

We even measured the length of the corridor!
