Literacy - Sea poems

This week we have been looking at Sea poems, to coincide with our topic on seasides. The children worked in pairs to make their own sea poems!

 

Siam Ocean World trip

Yesterday, we went to Siam Ocean world for our final Year 1 school trip. The children has a wonderful time learning and even touching some of the exotic animals on show. We were given a guided tour with a look behind the scenes to see exactly what goes on everyday.

Final trip reminder

Dear Parents,

As you no doubt know, our trip is tomorrow!

Please make sure the children are at school (for flag if possible) as we are leaving school at 8.00 a.m.

The children will need a small bag (not heavy) with a bottle of water and a light morning snack.

It is up to parents if the children bring 100 baht to spend (if there is time) at the gift shop.

Humanities - Seaside holidays, then and now

Continuing our work on 'seaside holidays' - We have been discussing the differences between seaside holidays today, and in the old days.

 

Science - sound

Following our work on 'Light and Dark', we are in our 2nd week of learning about 'Sound'. The children experimented with sounds by making their very own shakers! Good job guys!

Trip reminder!

Please remember that next Wednesday 20th, we will be taking our school trip to Siam Ocean world. Permission slips need to be filled in and returned by Monday.

Also, the bus will leave promptly at 8.00, so please try to be at school on time!

Next week on Tuesday, instead of gymnastics, we will be havng try outs for the swimming gala. Please can all children bring their swimming kit so the PE staff can select who will take part.
