School photos & World education games

Dear Parents,

Please be advised that the school photos are taking place from tomorrow - so please ensure that everyone comes to school looking their very best!

We are also taking part in the world education games - and have been given time slots in the ICT room - please make sure that your children are on time to school so they will not miss any of the planned time slots.

Many thanks for your help and co-operation with these matters - it is a busy but very exciting week!

International day

Dear Parents,

As you know this Friday 15th, we will be celebrating International day. We are delighted to invite parents to watch a short performance by each KS1 class based upon the country they have been learning about.

KS1 will perform with the Early years and the show will begin at 8.30 a.m on the basketball court and will finish by about 9.30 a.m.

The lunch on International day will be an International buffet with food supplied by all of the parents.

If you have any queries about International day then please feel free to contact your class teacher.

Many thanks,

The KS1 team

Chinese new years craft! This week we made our very own Hong Bow envelopes. We designed them on the computers and then constructed them later!

Class assembly

This Friday was very special for our class as we had our first class assembly to the rest of the primary children. As it is Chinese New Year we re-enacted the Great Zodiac race story. Everybody remembered their lines beautifully and did their very best!

Humanities

Continuing our work on roads and the local area - we did a survey to see how many children in the class wore a seatbelt in the car - we then represented the data in a pictogram.

Science

Last week, we investigated which type of paper would be best for wrapping presents - we had the choice of newspaper, bubble wrap, card, shiny paper and coloured paper.
