Literacy - Poems

Scarlett and Grace take roles and perform the poem 'The Owl and the Pussycat'

The children then went on to write their own verses for the poem.

Gino and Kaopun were able to identify rhyme and alliteration

used within Julia Donaldson's version of this poem.

Humanities - Passport to the World

The children have begun to complete their own passports in class!

We are learning about different countries that we visit and compairing them to our own home countries.

Mac researched famous landmarks

using the National Geographic web pages.

Tawan wrote some interesting facts.

Degen could find a variety of facts and videos using the website.

Science - Life Cycles of Plants

Y2K have begun learning about the life cycles of plants. We started by use our close observation skills to identify the parts of small plants gathered from our playground.

reminder about sun hats

Dear Parents,

With the hot season fully underway I would like to remind all parents about the need for the children to have sun hats. We are continuing to encourage the children to always wear their sun hats for protection against the sun, but I feel that it is more important now than ever.

Please could you ensure that your child brings a sun hat to school everyday. If you are unable to get an Ascot hat then the children may wear a hat from home until they are available from the school uniform shop.

Many thanks for your support on this important manner,

Karel Linden

  2. Class parties - party clothes to be brought to school in bags and the children will change after lunch.
