Art in Paradise
On Wednesday we went on our school trip to Art in Paradise. We had so much fun taking interesting pictures, then we got to eat delicious pizza at Scuzzi. Kru Bee and myself were both so impressed with how well behaved 3H were. Well done!

Which Way is North Again?
Recently in science we have been learning about magnets and we've carried out lots of interesting investigations. This week we made a real compass out of paperclip!
Ancient Egyptian Design and Technology
We've really enjoyed learning about Ancient Egypt this term and we've been able to make lots of interesting things in D&T. Firstly, we researched, designed and made Ancient Egyptian musical instruments. We wrote songs about Egypt and performed them in front of each other. It was very funny! We're now making pyramids out of paper mache.
We Love Science!!!
The Ascot Science Fair was a great success. All of the teachers were really impressed with level of experiments that took part and the scientific knowledge of the children. There were also lots of fun experiments taking place in the classroom. I can't wait for next years fair!

Science Fair
Dear parents,
We hope you are as excited for science day as we are. The science fair will take place at 10:20 until 11:20 in the basketball court. Here are some reminders for you:
1. Parents of children participating are welcome to watch
2. If you need to help your child set up please feel free to come to school at 9.30 to help set up.
3. Please ensure that all equipment and items your child need for the competition are brought with you from home.
4. The judges will go around the experiments to watch your child carry them out and will ask your child questions to gauge their understanding of the experiment for extra points.
5. If your child needs any help with chemicals and so on then this is fine, although the more your child can do the more points they will earn.

Reading with Reception
3H have started a buddy reading scheme with RP. Year 3 loved being able to help reception improve their reading skills and really enjoyed this style of peer learning. I was really impressed with how mature and caring 3H acted towards the reception class. Well done 3H!
