Next Week

English
This week we created our own stories based on Awongaleema and our Antarctica story last week. We used all the ideas that we have learned including using speech marks and conjunctions to make fantastic stories.
Next week, we look at how to write a recount as well as take a fictional day trip around North America so we can write about the experiences we had.
Math
In Maths we looked at adding two 3-digit numbers using column addition; subtract a 3-digit number from a 3-digit number using an expanded column method (decomposing only in one column)
In Maths we will look at doubling 3-digit numbers and halving even 3-digit numbers; revising unit fractions; identifying equivalent fractions; reducing a fraction to its simplest form; counting in fractions (each fraction in its simplest form)
Humanities
For Humanities, we looked at Asia and its Habitats and animals. We also looked at interesting things that make up Asian culture such as its foods and history.
Next week, we will look at Africa as a continent and look at some of the tribal aspects of African culture along with its people.
Science
This week, we looked at how animals adapt to their habitats especially those here in Asia. We also looked at how the animals protect themselves against predators such as man.
Next week, we will look at how to classify minibeasts into different categories as well as make keys that can identify each minibeast through a series of questions.
Art
In Art, we will look at sketching some Habitats around the school, colouring them  and labelling them
Next week, we will create our own Japanese Blossom trees.
PSHE
This week, along with the positives of the class, we looked at completing our homework for other non core subjects as well as interesting places we can go for our field trips and residentials.
Next week we will look at the positives that have happened to students in our class as well as things that we can do to improve our class.
