This week, we will start our next unit on instructional texts which we will learn about in conjunction with our inquiry unit.
Next week, we will look at the different sections of writing an instructional text. For example writing an introduction in the present simple and using imperatives in the Method section. 
Math
Learn 11 and 12× tables; develop and use effective mental multiplication strategies; use a vertical written method to multiply 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers; use rounding to estimate answers; use a written method to multiply 3-digit numbers, including amounts of money by 1-digit numbers; multiply 2-digit and 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers; understand how division ʻundoesʼ multiplication and vice versa; divide above the tables facts using multiples of 10
Recognise and read Roman numerals to 100; begin to know the history of our number system including 0; calculate area and perimeter of rectilinear shapes using multiplication and addition, or counting; recognise, name and classify 2D shapes identifying regular and irregular polygons; sort 2D shapes according to properties including types of quadrilaterals and triangles; revise 3D shapes, consider 2D-shaped sides on 3D shapes, and sort shapes

For Theme we will sort out the information we have gathered and decide upon a course of action in terms of what businesses we would like to set up.
Next week, we will go further into our inquiry and look at how we can use this information for ourselves and within our community.

This week we look at our Theme topic and see how Science can be used to investigate further.
Next week, we will look at the different links between Businesses as our theme topic and Science investigation
Art
This week we will finish our logos of different businesses and question how we can use this knowledge to create our own..
Next week we will create our own logos for our own businesses that we are creating in Inquiry.
PSHE
In PSHE, we will at changing around some of our class jobs and making our classroom cleaner and more effective.
Next week, we will look at the positives that have happened this term as well as trying to think of ways to make next term better.

Beginning our Theme Unit on Young Entrepreneurs with a game called Making Money in which students were grouped together and had to 'make money' in the form of 2D shapes which they could trade with other groups.

This week, we will work our props and costumes into our plays as well as make contingencies for any problems that occur.
Next week, we be working on contingencies and putting the finishing touches on our plays ready for the big performance. 
Math
Tell the time on a 24 hour clock, using am and pm correctly; convert pm times to 24 hour clock and vice versa; use 24 hour clock in calculating intervals of time; measure and calculate perimeters of rectilinear shapes where each side is labelled in cm and m; find missing lengths in rectilinear composite shapes; find the perimeters of rectilinear shapes with some lengths not marked; convert from one unit of length to another; solve word problems involving lengths including those involving perimeters

For Humanities, we will look at how volcanoes happen and how to survive them as well as our weekly case study.

Next week, we will look at electricity safety and how to make our own houses safe with regards to dos and do nots.

This week, we will finish making our props and make sure they are ready for the production.
