Cool Coordinates...

Over the past week, Miss Campbell's Numeracy group have been learning to plot coordinates. At first. we plotted on a single quadrant but by the end of the week, we were able to plot on all 4 quadrants with no trouble whatsoever! This was our first introduction to negative numbers so they children did extremely well.

We enjoyed reading coordinates on a map and also making our own treasure maps. Once we had finished, we used these to question our talk partners about the whereabouts of different locations.

Miss Campbell provided us with some coordinates to follow too. At first, we didn't know what would happen when we joined up each point but it soon became apparent that we were forming some spooky Halloween pictures!
