Skyping with Ms Mukti's Class

On Monday afternoon, our India topic sadly came to an end but thankfully this happened in an incredibly memorable manner. A Year 3 class in Utter Pradesh, kindly agreed to answer some of our questions and tell us more about their wonderful country and its culture. At 12.30pm. we were greeted on Skype Ms Mukti's class from Genesis Global School. The children in the parallel classroom were impeccably polite and greeted us by saying 'Namaste' which we know means 'hello', we returned their greeting.
Then, they answered some questions that we had prepared to ask them.  We then answered questions which they wanted to ask us.

Are questions included:

1.      How do you celebrate Holi at school?
2.      What type of foods do you like?
3.      What are your favourite animals?
4.      Do you enjoy sports and if so, which ones?
5.      Have any of you ever been to the Taj Mahal?
6.      What are your favourite games?
7.      Do you like football and if so, which teams do you support?
8.      Do you go on school trips and if so, where do you go?
9.    What type of music do you like? Do you have any favourite singers?

10. How do you spend your weekends?

Our favourite part of the call was when we sang our Thai national anthem to Ms Mukti's class. Her class then sang theirs to us - fantastic idea Ms Mukti! We stood up out of respect for each other and applauded both performances. It was simply wonderful! We look forward to collaborating with this class on future projects once we have returned from our half-term break. Watch this space!
